BD9397EFV IC Datasheet Pin Diagram

The BD939EFV IC is used in the backlight driver circuit of the Sony Bravia LCD TV. Its operating voltage is 9 volts to 35 volts, and its Temperature range is 35°C to 85°C. Its PWM frequency is 500Khz. BD939EFV IC has 40 pins.

BD9397EFV IC Pinout Diagram Datasheet

The backlight voltage is output from six pins from pin 11 to pin 16 of the BD939EFV IC, three of which are Common, from which the required feedback voltage is produced for over-current protection. The supply voltage of the three backlight sticks is output from the other three pins.

Protection Pin of BD9397EFB IC

If there is a short circuit or open circuit in one or more LEDs from the LED stick of the Sony Bravia LCD TV backlight, the red light of the TV's power indicator will blink six times. Then, the technicians will be interested in knowing the protection pin of this IC.

BD939EFV IC pin-37 is a protection pin; its name is LSP or LED Short Detection pin. If the red light blinks six times, I recommend changing the Sony Bravia TV's backlights or flushing that error signal.

The pinout diagram of BD939EFV IC is revealed in the figure below.
