Generally, the TV remote can perform all the LED TV functions, but to make some complex settings, the TV processor has to be commanded by inputting codes through some buttons on the remote; those codes are service menu codes or factory setting codes.

Why is it necessary to open the service menu page on LED TV?

If the main Board of the LED TV is not repairable for any reason, it needs to be replaced. After changing the LCD or LED TV board, alignment between the board and the display panel is often necessary.

For example, the service mode must be opened to set screen resolution, geographic alignment, screen rotation, horizontal and vertical flipping, mirror setting, and backlight voltage adjustment.

When the remote inserts the service menu code of an LED TV, a menu page with various settings opens on the TV screen, as shown in the figure below.

Some advice on the service menu or factory mode settings

Usually, if you make a wrong setting from the factory setting mode of the LED TV, the TV goes into the burning mode, in which case nothing is displayed on the TV screen; only red, blue, green, and white lights appear on the screen one after the other.

If the TV has a problem due to careless setup in an unknown option after opening the factory setting mode, unplug it and turn it on again by connecting the power to the TV.

If unplugging the TV's AC cord doesn't solve the problem, press and hold the Menu/Power/Source or Input button on the TV body, plug in the TV, and wait 15 seconds.
